You can feel it in your bones. There's this whisper that says "There's magic here. There's power here. There's a life worth living HERE."
But you don't know how to access it.
You've tried the meditation apps (abandoned after three days). You've bought the art supplies (gathering dust). You've read the books on manifestation (still waiting for something to manifest).
I've been teaching art journaling and mixed media art since 2010. In 2013, I decided I wanted to delve into the spiritual side of what I do, and Moonshine was born! The course has existed in the format you now see before you since 2016, and I've never looked back!
I'm a Canadian artist, writer, potter, and practicing pagan (🇨🇦 ELBOWS UP! 🇨🇦) who thoroughly and completely identifies as an "Art Witch", which means I'm someone who believes that using ritual, art, and intention can lead to real, lasting change.
Around here we call what I do "Art Witchery", and what we do as art witches is learn how to let our creative practice become something more than merely splashing about with paint and glitter.
When we "art witch", we come to hone in on and attain our desires, and identify and remove the obstacles that stand in our way.

We play, we paint, we read, we research, we hang out together in our virtual temple at least 2 x a month. We learn mixed media art techniques, but more importantly, we learn how to use those techniques (and our art supplies) in ways that make them powerful tools for personal transformation.

Here's the truth: journaling your wishes in paint and glitter isn't enough. But when you pair intention-setting with actionable steps and the raised energy of creative practice? That's when shit starts to happen.

This program is a buffet. You're not expected to eat everything on offer. You're expected to take what delights you, investigate what creates resistance, and leave the rest without guilt.
Some months you'll paint every new and full moon. Some months you'll just read the PDFs and show up for the live calls. Some months you'll disappear entirely and come back when you're ready.

❌ You support political figures or views that promote division, bigotry, or rollback of rights for LGBTQ+ folks, people of color, or other marginalized groups. Witchcraft here is about empowerment for the oppressed, not enabling oppressors.
You don't need to do everything. In fact, I don't even do everything. This is designed to meet you where you are. Some months you'll go deep. Some months you'll just show up for the live calls. Some months you'll vanish entirely. All of that is perfect.
The materials are evergreen—you can work through them at your own pace, forever.
I provide substitutions and workarounds for everything. You can do this program with a $3 composition notebook and some crayons if that's what you've got. Or you can go full art witch with fancy brushes and paint. Work with what you have.
Good. I'm agnostic. I call witchcraft "spicy psychology." You don't have to believe in literal magic—you just have to be willing to use ritual and art to change your consciousness. This system works whether you believe in gods or not.
We work around it. You can keep everything in a box. You can work digitally. You can make your altar on a page in your art journal, or on a corner of your desk. There's always a way.
There's no such thing as "behind" in Moonshine. This isn't school. There are no deadlines. The content is released monthly, but you can access it forever. Come back to it when you're ready.
You don't have to identify as a witch to be here. Some of our students are devout Christians who just love the art. Some are atheists who appreciate the psychological framework. Some are practicing pagans. Everyone belongs.
I'm a "magpie mystic"—I pull from Celtic lore, Jungian psychology, Feri tradition, tarot, astrology, herbalism, and more. You get to build your own practice from this buffet of offerings. No rigid tradition. No gatekeeping.
This isn't "law of attraction" nonsense. Want better self-esteem? Go to therapy AND paint about it. Want to feel stronger? Hit the gym AND raise energy through art. Magic + mundane action = real change.
While I'm NOT a therapist and this is NOT therapy, I'm a childhood abuse survivor with a long history of trauma-related personal work and study. I know what it's like to build yourself back up from nothing. This program emphasizes self-compassion over self-criticism, working WITH yourself instead of against yourself, and we speak "NEUROSPICY" around here, too, so if you are neurodivergent, oh, HI! ME, TOO!
The coven isn't just me teaching at you. It's a space where we crowdsource wisdom, witness each other, and hold space for transformation. The community is gentle, supportive, and fiercely loving.
I work very hard to ensure that this space doesn't just "tolerate" all the different ways of being in the world. WE CELEBRATE them. We are a body positive, pro-queer, pro-trans, pro-HUMAN coven. You will find yourself very welcome here.
Even if you've done Moonshine before, each year is different. Different paintings, different themes, different things will land. Students who've been here for 10+ years still find new depths.
