It's Here! It's Here! It's Here!

I have been anxiously waiting to launch this baby for a while now and IT IS FINALLY HERE! Spooky Season is upon us and if you know me at all, you know I'm gonna have to art journal about it because of COURSE I AM!

Hello! I'm Effy Wild and I will be your hostess for this 7+ lesson e-course with my two favourite spooky season lovers, Sarah Trumpp & Cristin Chambers!

Let's Do Spooky Season Together!

For me, "Halloween" is a whole season that I begin to anticipate at the end of September. Halloween stuff hits the stores a little early for my liking these days, but I do get excited when Spirit Of Halloween opens its doors! The season peaks for some on October 31st, but I remain in the spirit of it until at least Astrological Samhain, which I celebrate when the sun is 15º Scorpio. This year, that falls on November 7th, 2022.

Fun Or Sacred! Why Not Both?

While some folks opt to celebrate either Halloween OR Samhain, I indulge in both. Acknowledging both the calendar date & the astrological date makes that easy and means I can indulge my love for the more secular hijinx of Halloween & the solemnity and sacredness of Samhain.

Sarah, Cristin, and I will be presenting mixed media art lessons that celebrate both as well, which means you'll be getting three Halloween-themed lessons (lighthearted & fun) and three Samhain-themed lessons (deeper fare that honours our beloved dead & ancestry). Week One, we'll have Sarah. Week Two, we'll have Cristin. Week Three, we'll have yours truly.

I'll be wrapping things up in Week Four with a live gathering on Zoom on Saturday, November 5th for a "Feast Of The Dead" which will be a celebration of our loved ones who have passed beyond the veil. While this may sound solemn, it really will be celebratory. You will be invited to share the name and a story about one of your beloveds who've passed on and we will hail their memory because what is remembered lives!

About Sarah

Sarah Trumpp (pronouns she/they) is a card-slinging, herb-grinding, incense-burning, crystal-hoarding, paint-flinging weirdo who never met an art supply she didn’t want to obsessively collect. Sarah is a fangirl of all things spooky, scary, morbid, and mad, and she fully believes in the power of art, love, magic, and a good cup of tea (or whisky on the rocks, depending on the day).

Sarah lives in rural New York with the Manflesh and their trio of Demonspawn along with an ever-increasing menagerie of furry creatures. She collects part-time jobs, keys to public buildings, and other people’s children. Along with being a full-time artist and full-time witch, Sarah is also a part-time librarian, radio show host, staff artist for her county Democratic Party, and personal assistant to someone who is trying to take over the world.

About Cristin

Cristin Chambers (also known as, ‘PanArt’) is a professional mixed media and visionary artist, tattoo artist, live painter and teacher based in Kansas City, Missouri.

As well as showing artwork locally, she also teaches art techniques and art journaling online in collaborative and solo art courses with artists from all around the world.

PanArt considers herself to be a heArtist because she paints from the heart and infuses emotion into all of her artwork. She loves to use rich color, texture, storytelling, experimentation and values the art of letting go and embracing art rebellion.
